What is a Computer?
A computer is an electronic and programmable machine. Is an user friendly machine. The two principal characteristics of a computer are: it responds to a specific set of instructions in a well-defined manner and it can execute a prerecorded list of instructions (a program). The main work the Computer do is process data and convert it into useful information.
What is Computing?
Computing is any goal-oriented activity requiring, benefiting from, or creating Computers. For example, computing includes designing, developing and building hardware and software systems. Processing, structuring, and managing various kinds of information, doing scientific research on and with computers; making computer systems behave intelligently; and creating and using communications and entertainment media.
In short the process we do on Computers is known as Computing.
